If you enjoy photography then I hope you’ll come to love the images that I’ve collected together on my site.
Yes, you would be right to think that a photographic image is just a record of light at one precise moment in time, but the real joy for me, comes in the minutes or hours spent capturing that instant. Be it standing behind the camera on Westminster Bridge in the freezing cold; or on the Isle of Skye, while being eaten alive by midges, you appreciate so much more of the world around you than would otherwise be the case.
Originally a Londoner, I trained in medicine at Imperial College before working in wonderful cities such as Sheffield, Nottingham, Leeds and Newcastle before settling in Oxford where I work as a Surgeon. Like many photographers, I’ve learnt and assimilated and use skills required for modern DSLR photography. As in surgery, you never rest on your laurels, there’s always more to learn and always places to go.
Through the blog I’ll share my musings on my other passions in lifestyle, travel, art, design, science and my pet subject of Plastic Surgery. Feel free to share anything you find on the site and let me know your views via twitter or any other social media channels.
