The Photography Show 2017 has set the bar for all future photography events as it was my first.
I’ve been photographed (something I’ve become unaccustomed to), learnt about social media, caught up with the amazingly knowledgeable guys of Nikon’s NPS, got my hands on the impressive Nikon D5 and even met a few of the photography world’s illustrious and greats.
I’m use to using top of the range Zeiss’ lenses in my day job as I often have to join up small blood vessels during reconstructive surgical procedures using microscopes that have amazing optical resolution. But even with my experience, I was blown away by the build quality and craftsmanship of the Zeiss photographic lenses for the Nikon body. It took a bit of practicing to get use to the completely manual focusing system but the image quality was beautiful.

Speaking of beautiful, the Nikon D5 is a major advance on the brilliant D3s and with the hardware packed into the body (as seen below) it’s not surprising why!
